LPS Consulting PR's Managing Director and Founder, LaTonya Story, has over 16 years experience working in the public relations and marketing space representing high-profile personalities, consumer and corporate brands, and non-profit organizations. She began her sports public relations career in 2000-01 volunteering for the Allen Iverson Celebrity Summer Classic in Hampton, VA. As a result of her involvement with the event, she landed her first client, New Orleans Saints quarterback, Aaron Brooks. Using her New Orleans media contacts and experience, she became the Media Relations coordinator for the Marshall Faulk Celebrity Golf Tournament for Super Bowl XXXVI in New Orleans. While attending the Super Bowl festivities, she met Samuel McNabb, father to Pro Bowl Quarterback Donovan McNabb of the National Football Player’s Father’s Association (NFPFA) and went on to represent the NFPFA for 11 years.

LaTonya has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the 2012 Atlanta Business League’s Success Against the Odds Award, the Women in PR Trailblazers Award in October 2011 and served as a panelist for the organization’s PR Workshop in Miami. In February 2012, LaTonya was awarded the Women Out Front award from Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball for her work in sports in Atlanta and was recognized by Black Enterprise as one of the top sports executives to follow on Twitter.

LaTonya is a member of the Optimist Club of Atlanta, WISE, PR Pros Unite and a co-founder of Atlanta PR Pros.
She received her education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA majoring in Professional Communications.
